The building itself consists of a main hall and stage. The well equipped kitchen boasts two cookers, microwave, refrigerator and tea urns. Although the hall is used throughout the week, most Saturday’s and Sunday’s are free for hire as are a few evening’s and afternoons. Our charges for 2022 are from £10 per hour which includes heating and light. The spectacular scenery comes free!

It has a large car park and sports field. There is also a dedicated play area for the younger child. From the playing field can be seen the hills of Church Stretton to the South and the Ironbridge Gorge is visible to the East. Situated about 5 miles west of the county town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire, the Douglas Swire Memorial Hall, Longden, is the Village Hall for the villages of Longden, Hook-a-Gate, Annscroft, Longden Common Lane and all nearby hamlets.
